Meet our Holiday Cast

Rich Emery
Pa, Jim and Ben
Rich has been performing on the Theatre West stage since 2002 when he appeared as the IRS agent in Love, Sex, and the IRS. His most recent performance was as Bradley in the Covid-interruped production of The Cocktail Hour. He will be directing next year’s production of Champagne Charlie Stakes.

Drew Jones
Younger Child
Drew has been acting in theater since 2019. She has been in Suessical the Musical, Ghosts of Detention, A Charlie Brown Christmas JR, Alice in wonderland and Elf JR.
Drew is 10 years old and in 5th grade at Taft elementary School in Lincoln City. She loves sports and theater, and is a 3 sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball and softball.
When Drew grows up she dreams of being a volcanologist.

Cathye Wehr
Director and Wife
This is Cathye’s first foray into directing at Theater West. Having both acted in and directed staged readings about 20 years ago, I am enjoying getting back into it now. I’m delighted that this group of readings is not only geared toward the season but also families.
Cathye was first seen on the Theatre West stage in 2018 as Charlotte Hennebon in Meanwhile, Back on the Couch. She was last on the stage as Ann in the Covid-interrupted production of The Cocktail Hour.

Tricia Chandler
Ma, Della and Christmas Present
Tricia has appeared on the Theatre West stage several times, the latest being Savannah Sipping Society and Epic Proportions just this year. When reading the hilarious script for Savannah Sipping Society, she immediately fell for the grandmother role.
In real life she is a retired RN, happily married forever, and her life is ruled by 2 Boston Terriers and 2 cats.

Wes Ryan
Story Teller and Christmas Future
Wes has been involved with Theatre West for decades. He currently serves as President of the Board as well as acts and directs. He was most recently heard on stage as the narrator for this past summer’s Epic Proportions. Recent directorial endeavors include Borderline Crazies and Better Late, both in 2018.

Paul Wilhelmi
Marley
Paul has been acting at Theatre West since his debut as the unfortunate Constable Thompkins in Murdered to Death in 2011. His most recent role was the obnoxious Alan in 2019’s God of Carnage. Paul moved to Lincoln City from Indiana in 2006 and has lived here periodically since then. He’s glad to be here for the winter to participate in this holiday show!

Avree Parsons
Older Child
Avree has been doing plays for about 6 years. She was in Suessical the Musical, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Honk! and The Decendents. One of her friends told her about plays and theatre so they did a few plays together and that is how she started in theatre. We love that!
Avree is in 7th grade at Taft 7-12.

Dian Svendsen
Shop Keeper and Christmas Past
This is Dian’s 2nd production at Theatre West, after playing several parts, including the Salve Mistress, in this past summer’s production of Epic Proportions. Frankly, she is new to performing, unless you count tap dancing, cheer leading, marching band, teaching and training. She is now retired and happy to be a part of this holiday show.

Dave Jones
Announcer
This is Dave’s third go-round at Theatre West. His most recent one was playing East and Man in the just finished, Almost Maine. He and his wife, Cindy were involved with productions for the Oakley Valley Arts Council in Idaho before retiring to the beautiful Oregon Coast. He has had parts in various holiday plays including It’s a Wonderful Life, The Christmas Schooner and Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol. He hopes you enjoy the show. Fish on!!
