  SILENT SKY is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service.

  The Story:

  This is the true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt, and explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries, in a play whose narrative spans from the heavens to the earth.

  About Naomi Fast:

  Naomi is so excited to appear in the cast of Silent Sky. Previously at Theatre West, Naomi played the waffle-making, glass shattering mom in THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES, the highly strung but cooperative maid in ANGEL STREET, and multiple characters in THE DEAD GUY.  Naomi has a Master of Arts in Theater from Portland State University and is thrilled to be creating theatre here in Lincoln City.

  

  Apollonia Lane

  About Apollonia Lane:

  Native to Oregon and a Lincoln City local, “Apples” first developed a love for theater after attending a youth academy for Native American Youth at Southern Oregon University.  At a young age she enjoyed attending the Shakespeare Festival.  Her first performance was as a young teen on the green stage at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She played Grandmother Grouse in HOW RACOON GOT HIS STRIPES.  After graduating high school, Apollonia was crowned the first “Miss Native American Oregon” where she spent a lot of hours on stage and on the road.  Apollonia is a proud mother and enjoys singing and playing piano at church.

  

  Mike Vono

  About Mike Vono:

  Mike was just recently seen in Theatre West’s THE OUTSIDER playing the part of Dave. It was his first acting role ever. He’s returning to the stage, once again alongside his oldest child, Chris Vono. Mike has been a graphic designer for 17 years. In his free time he draws, creates art and loves spending time outdoors with his wife and kids.

  

  Taylor Parker

  About Taylor Parker:

  Taylor’s first appearance at Theatre West was in MOON OVER BUFFALO as Rosalind.  She has most recently been seen as Paige in THE OUTSIDER and Vaudeville Nurse in THE SUNSHINE BOYS.  Her previous acting experience comes from the Redding Christian School theater playing the “mer-sister” Arista in LITTLE MERMAID, Mrs. Roosevelt in ANNIE, and Mrs. Squires in MUSIC MAN.  She has also appeared at the Lincoln City Playhouse as Meg in LITTLE WOMEN, Penelope in ODYSSEY, Chef Louis in LITTLE MERMAID, and the Red Queen in ALICE IN WONDERLAND. When Taylor is not acting, she is a teacher’s aide at Samaritan Early Learning Center.  She has been a dancer for 12 years.

  

  Chris Vono

  About Chris Vono:

  Chris (they/them) is an aspiring young actor, entrepreneur, and artist. Having found their passion for acting at Theatre West in late 2024, this is now their fifth play in total, and their fourth play at Theatre West. When Chris isn’t acting, they’re busy playing the drums and creating music, sketching, and playing with their puppy. Chris graduated high school this year, and will be moving on to college to study Aquarium Science and Marine Biology. You may recognize Chris from the last production here, THE OUTSIDER.

  

  Debby Rhein

  Director

  About Debby Rhein:

  Debby Rhein has been a member of Theatre West since 1987. Her first stage appearance as an actor was on the Jack Coyne stage with the man himself, and he continued his mentorship showing her the ropes of directing. This will be Debby’s 17th directing attempt.

  

  Dan Pack

  Assistant Director

  About Dan Pack:

  This is Dan’s first time assistant directing for Theatre West. He has worked behind the scenes for several productions as a lighting designer and technician. A recent transplant to Lincoln City, Dan’s prior theater experience took place in Utah where he worked as a technical director, actor, pit musician, music director, light designer, sound engineer, and set builder. He loves how collaborative theater is, and enjoys participating any way he can.
