Our Volunteers Count: Theatre West by the Numbers

Have you been to see a show at Theatre West recently? If yes, we
hope you loved it! Do you know how many people it takes to put on
one of our shows? Well, we tried to count it all up:
Approximately 40 front-of-house volunteers per production as box
office personnel and ushers, three to five set designers and builders,
two or three backstage crew, five or six publicity team members
(graphic designer, website creation, social media manager,
newsletter publisher, poster distribution), a seven member board of
directors, one or two lighting and sound technicians, one artistic
director, one director, one assistant director, one stage manager,
one costumer, one photographer, one production liaison. And that’s
not including the cast, which averages five or six.
Wow, that’s over 70 people! It takes quite a community to make a
community theatre! Would you like to get involved? Join our merry
group of volunteers, or you can consider either
underwriting/sponsoring a show. Just send us an email to
theatrewestnews@gmail.com, and we’ll get back to you. There’s a
place for everyone at your community theatre!
